One of the most important roles coaches play in preparing players for competition and life is to give them a chance to develop good character.
We need a game plan for character!
We expect a game plan for coaching the X's and O's of our sport. What isn't always clear is how to coach character!

Who can be a Character Coach?
A wide variety of people can serve the people of sport as Character Coaches. You don't have to be a sports ministry professional!
Someone willing to SERVE!
Character Coaches need to have a heart to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus! i.e. handing out waters, setting up equipment, filming practice, taking athlete temperatures, etc.
Speak the language of sport!
Character Coaches need to understand and speak the language of sport. This is crucial for developing relationships and rapport with an athletic team!

Become a Character Coach!
We have developed a process to train and equip our Character Coaches to be a vital and needed part of any athletic team.
Check out the process below!
1.
Register for and complete our Character Coach Training Course.
2.
During the course: Fill out the Ministry Leader Application & sign the Character Coach Agreement.
3.
After the course: Sit down with your local FCA Staff Member to discuss team placement/next steps.
4.
Start developing relationships with and serving a specific team as a
Character Coach!
