 Start a Huddle
Ready to learn more to impact your campus?

FCA Colorado has a unique and exciting approach to developing huddles.  Read through the list below completely, then follow each step to begin building your local huddle!

1.       Understand -  Develop an understanding of Colorado FCA and its vision for developing Kingdom Building Leaders (KBL) by carefully reading these materials:

·         Colorado Mission

·         KBL Vision

2.       Apply - If you are on board with our mission and vision and would like to be a part of it, start the application process by submitting these items:

·         Fill out the KBL Questionnaire to demonstrate your understanding of the Colorado FCA vision.

·         Fill out the FCA Ministry Leader Application so that we can get to know you better.  Please use the online version as it is much more efficient to process.

3.       Make Contact – Give us a call to let us know of your interest.  This will help us best understand your desire to serve the vision of developing Kingdom Building Leaders.

·         Ryan Carter: 719.482.7256, ryancarter@fca.org

4.       Identify a Coach from the school who is willing to be trained.  Training involves going through the Legacy Builders DVD and Study materials in advance and contacting a FCA Campus Ministry Staff member with questions.  If no coach is available, the next best option is a teacher with a heart to reach athletes.  Parents are encouraged to be involved, however, it is essential to have the partnership of a school coach or teacher.

·         FCA staff will provide you with all of the training materials and resources you will need.

·         After reviewing the materials, if you have questions about the study or about how to use it on your campus, contact FCA Campus Ministry Staff Member Ryan Carter at 719-482-7256 or Lee James at 719-482-7254.

5.       Identify 5-10 Student Athletes that want to be discipled in Competing Biblically.  These students will be trained using the Legacy Builders Studies:  Winning God’s Way, The Quest, and Master Athlete.  The students who fulfill the discipleship training will be your student huddle leaders next semester.

6.       Conduct – During your first semester, conduct the Winning God’s Way study with your initial group of Faithful, Available, Teachable athletes.  You are building a team of leaders!

7.       Train - Once a year, non-staffed FCA Legacy Builders Group Leader, Coach, or Teacher will meet with the FCA Colorado Staff for additional training and vision casting.

8.       Certify - Once student athlete leaders have been through the Winning God’s Way study they can start an outreach to their school with a FCA Huddle.  Fill out the official Huddle Certification Form and send it in to the Home Office with the fee.  They will provide you with insurance, permission to use the FCA name and logo, and a kit of resources.  Certifications must be renewed yearly and run from August 1-July 31.
